Human Genetics - 3 (Gen -2, SC/ST -1)

Preference will be given to Ph.D. Candidates with M.Sc. in Human Genetics/Human Biology/Genetics with Specialization in

(i) Human Molecular Genetics/Any modern area of Human Genetics

(ii) Medical Genetics/Clinical Genetics, and

(iii) Computational Biology/Human Anatomy and Physiology/Human Growth.

Only UGC/CSIR-NET (Life Sciences) qualified candidates will be considered.

Lecturer-cum-Assistant Cytogeneticist (Centre for Genetic Disorders) - 1 post
(Grade: Rs. 8000-13500)

Job description: This position is for the ongoing work on heritable eye disorders, anomalies of sexual differentiation, DNA fingerprinting and other human genetic disease as well as for the prenatal and postnatal diagnostic work.

Desirable Experience: The applicant should be proficient in cytogenetics and molecular Cytogenetic techniques utilized in prenatal and postnatal diagnostics. Experience with lymphocyte, CVC, amniocyte and fibroblast culturing, etc. is expected. Techniques of molecular genetics including PCR, Cycle sequencing,
Mutation detection techniques etc.

Lecturer-cum-Assistant Geneticist (Centre for Genetic Disorders) - 2 posts
(Grade: Rs. 8000-13500)
