CSMCRI is a National laboratory under CSIR. The Institute undertakes a wide range of R&D projects in marine chemicals, coordination chemistry, catalytic transformations, membrane technology, renewable energy, marine biotechnology, wasteland development and environmental monitoring. The Institute provides a conducive environment for research and has excellent infrastructure by way of sophisticated analytical instruments, modern laboratories, pilot plants, library, LAN network and workshop.

Marine Scientist (1 Post) UR

SCIENTISTS GROUP-IV

Maximum Age:- 35 Years

Qualification*: M.Sc in Marine Science (minimum 55%) with Ph. D in Chemical/Physical Oceanography

Job description: The selected candidate is expected to work as part of a team both in the laboratory and field on marine environment-related R & D and consultancy projects.

Environmental Microbiologist (1 post) UR

SCIENTISTS GROUP-IV

Maximum Age:- 35 Years

Qualification*:M.Sc. in Marine Biology (minimum 55%) with Ph. D. in the area of Marine Microbiology.

Job description: The selected candidate is expected to work on microbial taxonomy and microbial interaction with seaweeds/corals.

Plant Molecular Biologist ( 1 post ) OBC

SCIENTISTS GROUP-IV

Maximum Age:- 35 Years

Qualification*:M.Sc in Plant Molecular Biology/Biotechnology (minimum 55%) with Ph. D in the area of Plant Molecular Biology.

Job description: The selected candidate is expected to work on plant molecular biology and development of transgenic crop plants.

*Applicable for all three posts-
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph. D. but who may not have obtained the degree at the time of applying may also be considered. However, they will have to produce relevant certificates of award of Ph. D. at the time of interview.
