I.IRRI-BMGF funded project on “Stress-tolerant rice for poor farmers in Africa and South Asia”. Duration 1 year (extendable further).
1. Senior Research Fellow (1 post)
Essential Qualifications M.Sc.,(Ag) in plant breeding/ biotechnology/ biochemistry or M.Sc. botany with specialization in genetics.
Desirable Qualifications: One year working experience in rice improvement/rice germplasm evaluation.
Emoluments: Consolidated pay of Rs.12000/-p.m. plus HRA for first two years and Rs.14000/-p.m. plus HRA from 3rd year onwards.
II.ICAR funded project on “Establishment of National Database on Rice”. Duration: 1 year (extendable further).
1.Research Associate (2 posts)
Essential Qualifications:
1.M.Sc.(Ag) with specialization in Genetics and Plant Breeding or Plant Genetics Resources with 1st division.
2.M.Sc.(Botany) with 1st division.
Desirable Qualifications: 1.Experience in planning and executing field experiments particularly with reference to genetic resources. 2.Sound knowledge of computer application and data base management.
Emoluments: Rs.16000/-p.m. plus HRA for 1st & 2nd year, Rs.17000/-p.m. plus HRA for 3rd & 4th year & Rs.18000/-p.m. plus HRA for 5th year.
Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview on 31st October, 2009 between 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. for the temporary posts of Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow to work under the research projects sanctioned to Directorate of Rice Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
