MSc Biotechnology
Bachelor's degree in any branch of Life Sciences including Agricultural and Medical Science or Chemical
Science or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

MSc Environmental Technology
Stream I - Env Engineering - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiaries, or Engineering (Civil/Public Health/Environmental or Chemical) with 55% Marks.
Stream II - Env. Biotech –Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology with 55% marks.
MSc Industrial Fisheries
Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Botany/Fisheries with at least 55% marks in the optional subjects. Bachelor's degree in Fisheries includes bachelor's degree in Industrial Fisheries, Aquaculture/Fishery Science/Industrial Fish and Fisheries/BFSC in Nautical science.
MSc Marine Biology
BSc degree with any branch of Life Sciences such as Aquaculture, Bio-chemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Microbiology and Zoology as a main subject or B.Sc. degree in Fishery Science with at least 55% marks in the optional subjects.
MTech Programmes
Admissions to the following MTech programmes are based on valid GATE score as prescribed under the academic regulations specific to each programme. Candidates not possessing GATE may also apply, but will be considered only if GATE qualified candidates are not available. In such cases, admissions will be based on the DAT.

MTech Marine Biotechnology
Minimum 60% Marks or equivalent CGPA in any one of the following from any recognized Indian or Foreign University.
1. BTech / BE in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Leather
Biotechnology, Chemistry/Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, BPharma, Chemical Technology;
2. MSc in Biotechnology, Marine Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany/ Zoology/Biochemistry, Microbiology/Genetics, Biophysics, Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics, Marine Biology/Aquatic Biology and Fisheries/Environmental Biotechnology/Mariculture. Selection of candidates is done by JNU on behalf of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

MPhil Fisheries Science
MSc Degree Industrial Fisheries / Marine Biology/Zoology/Aquatic Biology & Fisheries/Fishery Biology & Aquaculture/Capture and Culture Fisheries/Aquaculutre/MFSc with 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade in PG.
MPhil Life Sciences
Master's degree in Marine Biology/Zoology/ any branch of Life sciences such as Aquatic Biology and
Fisheries, Bio Chemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Fishery science with 60% marks.
PhD PROGRAMMES

PhD programmes are offered in all the teaching Departments/Schools and recognized Institutions of the University. Candidates are advised to ascertain the areas of research and the availability of vacancies from the Departments/Schools or Recognized Institutions before-hand. Candidates intending to do research in  he Recognized Institutions of the University are to obtain application forms from the University Departments/Schools dealing with the discipline of their choice.

The University Departments/Schools located at the Thrikkakara Campus, Kochi-682022 are Applied Chemistry, Applied Economics, Biotechnology, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Culture & Heritage, Electronics, Environmental Studies, Hindi, Instrumentation, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Management Studies, Photonics, Physics, Polymer Science & Rubber Technology, School of Engg., Ship Technology and Statistics.
The University Departments/Schools located at the Lake Side Campus at Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi-682 016 are Atmospheric Sciences, Chemical Oceanography, Industrial Fisheries, Marine Biology, Microbiology & Biochemistry, Marine Geology & Geophysics and Physical Oceanography.
How To Apply:

HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE

I. Candidates are instructed to read thoroughly all information published in the www.cusat.nic.in before filling up the application
II. Candidates are required to fill in all details correctly (SC/ST, Communal /Special Reservation/OEC etc.) failing which the claim under the said categories will not be considered at all.
III. Duly filled Confirmation sheet without the required amount of chalan receipt (University copy), recent colour photograph and signature will be summarily rejected without any notice.
IV. Any anomaly in the details furnished during the online registration leading to rejection of the application will be the sole responsibility of the candidate. Hence the registration must be done with the utmost attention without making any error.
V. If any entries are incorrect /missing, press the back button for going back to the entry form.
VI. If the candidate is satisfied with the entries after verifying the preview, press the 'Confirm' button for completing the registration process, and take two print out of the confirmation page. Candidate should sent one copy of the confirmation page (filled up) along with the copy of fee paid Chalan Receipt (University copy) to the Director, IRAA and retain sufficient copy of confirmation page and chalan receipt for future reference.
VII.Request for change of test centre will not be entertained under any circumstances.
VIII. Incomplete applications in any respect will summarily be rejected.
IX. No separate admit card will be sent to candidate address. Please download the admit card from the www.cusat.nic.in. The Admit Card can be downloaded by submitting candidate's Registration number and date birth. For date from which admit cards are available please visit www.cusat.nic.in
