Applications are invited for the recruitment of One post of Junior Research Fellow positions under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded Twinning project for north-east region entitled “Exploring fungal diversity from selected areas of Assam using Biochemical and Molecular Approach for Industrially important Biomolecules” at the Department of Life Science and Bioinformatics, Assam University, Silchar, Assam 788011. The duration of the project is for three years. The details of the post are:

1. Junior Research Fellow : One position

2. Emoluments: JRF Rs.16,000/ + HRA for the 1st two years and Rs 18,000/- + HRA for the 3rd year for SRF and applicable only if JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/DBT-BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs 12,000/- +HRA only for the 1st two years (for JRF) and Rs 14,000/- + HRA for the 3rd year (for SRF).

3. The candidates must possess minimum 55% marks in M Sc. in Life Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology with good academic records. Preference will be given to candidates having demonstrated experience in the related research.
