Walk in Interview for the Post of Senior Research Fellow
Defence institute of physiology and allied sciences (DIPAS) provides an excellent opportunity for young and motivated researchers to pursue a career in basic and applied life sciences research. DIPAS endeavors in optimizing human performance under extreme operational environment using physiological, biochemical, nutritional and ergonomic approach. The labs are equipped with state of art facilities to conduct human & animal studies and in-vitro experimentation with an interdisciplinary approach. Cutting edge technology (Micro-array, MALDI-TOF, Human Decompression Chamber, Bio-Informatics and Nanotechnology) at the institute encompasses broad interdisciplinary areas viz. Physiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Immunology, Genomics and Organic Chemistry/ Phytochemistry.
A walk in interview for the post of One DRDO Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the below
mentioned time bound task “The consequences of Antarctic conditions and ship voyage:
Immunological, Hematological and Genomic responses in Indian expeditioners”, will be
held at Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences, DRDO, Lucknow Road Timarpur Delhi- 110054.
Essential Qualification
1. M.Sc. in Biotech with First Division (60% Marks) or equivalent grading, having at least four years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship records (Ph.D. thesis submitted candidates can also apply).
2. Experience of working in Antarctica or at High Altitude.
3. Published Research papers with minimum 2 first authorships.
Desirable Experience of working in the field of Immunology
Responsibilities
To assist project investigator(s) to achieve objectives of the aforementioned project and to participate in the 34th Indian scientific expedition to Antarctica (summer expedition for a period of four months approx), during which the candidate will have to stay in Antarctica at Indian Research Stations. Age: Maximum age 35 years as on 31.12.2014 (Relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per Govt. rules)
